The Holland_1944_tournament
Hello Fellow CS-players
I decided to organize The Holland_1944_tournament
and here is the setup
it is not a knockout system but a poule-system.
In round 1 everbody plays the same scenario twice once as axis and once as allies against different opponents simultaneously
and in round 2 everybody will play another scenario
The number of rounds will be 5
The turnrate will be 3 turns a week
round 1 will start at 20 of August and your opponents will be selected by draw
from round 2 and further your opponents will be selected based on the tournament ranking at that time
The ranking will be determined by the number of VP over both games (as axis and as allies)
the scenario's that will be played are all currently available
if you want to enter this tournament , then just send me an email
There is room for everyone
if you have further questions , then please reply on this post
lets have some fun
regards,
Remko van den Berg

RE: The Holland_1944_tournament
Sounds like fun! :)
A couple of questions before I throw my hat into the ring...
(1.) Since tournament players will be playing two (2) simultanous games - would that not be six (6) turns per week, not three (3)? :conf:
(2.) How long a time commitment?
I'm concerned that IF I join this tournament, it would take too much of my limited gaming time.
Any more details would be appreciated.

RE: The Holland_1944_tournament
Hi Mike
good question
yes, it will make 6 turns all together a week
and i try to pick scenario's with a maximum of 25 turns which makes probably 8 weeks per round and 5 rounds makes 40 weeks ,
but for round 5 i'm looking for a scenario with high value objectives
so that the end result can still be changed
yes, there is commitment needed from those who take part in this tournament
regards,
Remko

RE: The Holland_1944_tournament
Maybe it would be good to contact Huib as he was running Canadians in Holland tournament, just to avoid playing the same scenarios :chin:
And of course you count me in, please :smoke:

RE: The Holland_1944_tournament
I'll join, or help my collegue Remko out running the thing, whatever is needed.
I still have the old Canadians tournament record of 2004, so I can look up who played what in the past.
On the other hand, the most played scenarios are also selected often in tournaments because of their balance so it's not a major issue.

Hi Remko :)
Thanks for your reply and answers.
I will need to decline your tournament invite. :(
Limited gaming time and too much real life stuff going on...
