I definitely play better when i have good music going, although im not going to inflict my taste on others as its anything which has a good beat and relatively long and keeps on moving.

Well,

I must be a bit of a different sort.. maybe the type of music that calms the nerves a little - to enhance concentration..

my listening preferences include:

'Narnia' soundtrack
Hiroshima (the singing group, not the bomb)
Manhiem Steamroller
Keiko Matsui

Kind of like a little sherbert after the main course.. clears the pallet for more serious work..

I lived in Austin for several years, but it's the "slacker" capital of Texas, the South, maybe even the entire United States. (Madison WI would compete for that last title, however.) There's *thousands* of musicians in that town. Never stumbled across Mr. Biram ...
