Im sure I seen a guide had been made about how to mod the CM games as in 'how to make mods'.

Anyone know where I could get my hands on this??

Not sure that is what you are looking for but on CMMDb, Cabe uploaded a Collection of Miscellaneous Combat Mission Files, which include some modding tutorials by people like MikeyD, Gaut, Kingfisher and so forth.

If it doesn't work, in the CMMDb's menu you pick CMAK Mods, By Designer, there you choose Cabe, then All, Mod Set and eventually CMAK_CMBB_BMP_LISTS_CHARTS_CAB
