Another scen occuring on the bloody night of 6 March, 1942.
viz: "The Fall of Buitzenzorg"
6 March, 1942
Buitzenzorg, Java: After being stalled, by the Australians, for better than two days at the Leuwiliang Bridge, the Japanese Nasu Detachment, of the 2nd Division, bypasses Blackforce, to the north and approaches Buitzenzorg from the northwest. The Allies have been trying to keep a route open between Batavia, to the north and Bandung, to the east, so that the units in Batavia, most of them command units, can get away from the Japanese advance and seek the relative safety of Bandung by way of Buitzenzorg. Now the gig is up. Most of the Allied units have withdrawn from the city and only a rearguard remains to delay the Japanese any longer. It must be held until morning.
............................
This concludes the scens on the island of Java. With the fall of Buitzenzorg the Allies were beaten and Bandung had to be evacuated. The campaign on Java now reverted, more or less, into a race to the ports, primarily Tjilatjap on the south coast, and hopeful evacuation.
All that remains to be completed for the DEI campaign series is a few scens covering the fighting on northern Sumatra.
Enjoy, cheers

I've seen it spelled Buitenzorg also and it is probably correct. That was much easier to learn how to say than "Buitzenzorg". The problem I had when doing these maps are the 3+ ways of spelling the place names...i.e. the Dutch way, the English way, the Indonesian way and my own way...yeet.
On some maps I even mixed them up. It makes things lively.
