Ah, another armchair 'observer'..
Any imbalance doesn't matter because it evens out when the players swap sides for the rematch..:)

Ha ! German advantage ?!? piffle... not when your own Stuka wipes out half your infantry, AA and totally screws up the movement of your main column ... :hissy:
ps: POS, do you want to start our mirror game now ?

Well the fly-boy must have also thought that the grunts on the ground had too much of advantage and being a Prussian gentleman decided to level the playing field a bit. (Mind you calling in air support on that tight a battlefield is always likely to end in tears!)

COMBAT FOOTAGE- The River

The Sd 6/2 37mm flak wagon may look tough but it's totally unarmoured and is simply a tin can on wheels, easily riddled by small arms as my Russki halfsquad demonstrates. This one belonged to CMant
(PS- fog of war has mis-identified it as having 20mm gun)

Caught in the crossfire of Sphinx's two Russian armoured pincers, my panzers ground to a halt just short of the flag..

HALFTIME SCORES
(The second half will be the mirror rematches- also known as 'payback time'- after which the scores of the two games will be combined, so these halftime rankings shouldn't be taken too seriously, generally speaking the Germans will win or at least draw most of the time. Ekrommen's panzer columns advance menacingly on the Russian hilltop garrison who wisely keep their heads down and let the clock run out..

Congratulation son a well fought battle, Spike! My hats off to those players who were able to drive over the hill, it is tough and I have alot to learn about this kind of fighting.

This is a blast, I love the reports...thanks for all the time you put into the games and putting the graphics together.

Me too mate, I'm learning new things all the time as the tourney goes along; I'm sorely tempted to do a tactics write-up but i don't want to give anything away, so in the interests of fairness will wait til the end of the tourney

POS,
I see that "only" 18 out of 70 games are finished. So, almost half of the first round games are still underway. Have you already started with the returngames ?

BTW, look like a nice tournament. Although the map is narrow, there are lot of different tactics possible.

Yes mate, plenty of rematches well under way, everything's right on schedule no sweat, my tourneys always attract the Fastest Players in the World..:)
Hey, pity you never entered Green Light, you've entered all my previous tourneys and have got this impressive haul of 'Competitor' cyber medals in your player stats-
(left to right- Perimeter, Trident, Malitz, Pripet, Brits v 21Pz)

PS- still time for you (and anybody else) to sign up for Green Light if you think you can play a total of 40 turns in 5 weeks before its 30th Sept finish and win this Green Light Competitor's cyber-medal, everybody gets one (plus 50 ladder bonus points) for finishing the tourney..:)

The City flag remained neutral because both sides had units near it..
