GREEN LIGHT TOURNEY

Then all of a sudden victory is snatched from you..purely and simply because some fly-boy's goggles have misted up and he bombs your own troops my mistake.

It rarely happens but there's always that chance, it keeps you sweating on the edge of your seat til the end of the game and adds spice, think 'adrenalin buzz' whenever you hear the sound of an aero-engine coming through your speakers..
Random airstrikes add a refreshing touch of uncertainty, making victory by no means a guaranteed sure thing for anybody til the final whistle.
If you want a boring guarantee, buy a toaster..:)

RE: GREEN LIGHT TOURNEY
LUCK exists in life, whether anyone acknowledges it or not. ''Luck'' is not supernatural, it just means something happens that was not pre-planned or expected and works out to one side's advantage out of nowhere. I might point out that the WW2 US win at Midway was based in large part on luck (read up on the details of the fight). This doesn't mean a great plan can't succeed, but unforseen circumstances can always thwart a good plan.
(And, I believe it was Mikey who already said: ''lucked out'' = ''got lucky'')

AIR SUPPORT IN A TOURNEY is fine with me. We Blitzers run our ground troops, and hope air support is up to the job. I like Air as a surprise element in any fight. Total War, and all that.

GREEN LIGHT TRNY is going rough for me...my hardest POS Tourney yet. It is fun and challenging as always, but if I had to design my own medal, it might be what I'm attaching.....

A famous quote:

England and America are two countries separated by a common language.
~~George Bernard Shaw

But ''our common language'' often leaves everybody scratching their heads....haha

From urbandictionary.com :

Quote:LUCKED OUT
In the UK this has the exact opposite meaning to that in the USA.
Probably from the phrase Sh*t Outta Luck...
Means Unlucky...

But I've always known the phrase "Lucked Out" to mean lucky...

Go Figure...

Yet again my hiding Russians keep the flag neutral even though Mad Baron's crack panzergruppe is stomping all over the rail line..

DASTIGER 60, POS 40 (minor win for DasTiger)

Das Tiger's panzers make a determined effort to force their way into town but my Russian armour stands it's ground and the German attempt is thwarted, but at heavy cost to me, I lose all 8 of my tanks. Even my armoured car is wrecked with the last shot of the game..

RE: GREEN LIGHT TOURNEY

RT PIONEER 28, POS 72 (maj win for POS)

RT Pioneer's counterattacking Russian armour pushed a huge bulge in the front (red line) as it dealt a bone-jarring blow to my panzers in the centre, but on the final turn I was able to break through his steel wall with two panzer detachments on either flank..
