Off Topic: Valkyrie
Anyone seen the new WWII movie "Valkyrie" yet? Just curious if it was any good.

RE: Off Topic: Valkyrie
I just saw Valkyrie - if anyone cares- lol. It was good - except for most of the Germans had English accents (no German actors around?)

Nice recreations of the Wolf's Lair and other historic places...good shots of German equipment - don't know where they got some of it. Tom Cruise did a good job playing the part.

Thanks for the review DK. Sounds like it's worth seeing at the theater one Saturday afternoon. Is it appropriate for teenagers? Keep in mind that these teenagers saw the lastest Bond movie with no problems, but something like SPR might be too graphic for them.

How much blood and guts? My wife said she was interested, but did not want the potential gore factor.

Hmmm...I heard the F-word once and one officer shot himself in the head - lots of explosions - firing squad shootings - but mostly tension - more like mission impossible. Not near as gory as Saving Private Ryan.

There's a great movie available on NetFlix called Come and See, about a Russian peasant boy of 14 or 15 who joins the partisans. Not sure what it's rated, probably R for wartime violence.
