RE: Alt Version of K44
Hi Ed, and Happy New Year.

I've been checking the posts on your web site, glad to see that work is being done on this title. I've just observed that all those tiny Axis units, the one gun AT units and 3 vehicle halftrack units, are pretty inapropriate for the German OB, better to find a way to allow them to be combined. But I'm very sure you know that already. Above all, I've noted that it's far too easy for Russian infantry to close assault vehicle units in this title, your Alt scenarios always correct that fault, some other news that you already know. Anyway, thanks again for all your great work,

RE: Alt Version of K44
I probably won't be doing anything about the counter density in K44, at least not yet. Doing something about this would require many hours of work to remove the units from the scenarios, restructure the OOB and adjust all the units ratings -- much more time than is currently available. In fact, there wouldn't be a K44_Alt at all if it were not for the effort of David Freer who has been acting as my right hand man on this conversion. :) Many thanks to him.

RE: Alt Version of K44
I'm reading The Korsun Pocket by Niklas Zetterling and Anders Frankson which is well worth the price tag.
Anyhow it seems the Germans were really short of equipment at this time which could account for the smaller sized units.
