Patrol range
Where can you find the patrol range of units in Minsk?
The manual seems to indicate that all units have the same effectivness on patrol. Should Police units work better at Patrolling than regular units?

No Police units are like Infantry without the heavy weapons support. The range is covered in the doc - below

Patrolling
It is possible to put a unit with men (not vehicles or guns and not HQ units) into a Patrolling state. To do this requires the full movement allowance of the unit and the unit cannot be Broken. While Patrolling, the unit will negate the ability of any Partisan unit within Deception range of having any Deception effects. In addition, a Patrolling unit will be able to spot any enemy unit within 2 hexes, regardless of line-of-sight restrictions. While in a Patrolling state, a unit has a 3/4 assault and fire value. It costs 1/2 of the movement allowance.

When I was playing Budapest, I did a lot of patrolling, because you can see 2 hexes away...although, I was unable to call down artillery, or lose my FIXED status because of it...

It is features like patrolling and recon spotting that really make PzCampaigns unique and so enjoyable. If you properly use these features it enhances gameplay and realism a lot. I use recon spotting a ton. Those recon vehicles now come in very handy.

Check the rules manual. It spells out that patrolling does not affect these two functions.

So patrolling units can call down artillery?.Couple of more questions.1.do katuyshas rocket units get bunker benefits?
2.If you spot a unit with aerial reconnaissance an then move a unit into the newly spotted enemy unit(s) (by aerial recon) line of sight is it considered spotted for ground artillery purposes'?

In the parameters menu it only lists one deception range. Is the deception range the same for both sides?

1. I don't think so, and wouldn't expect it against a heavy well designed bunker, as opposed to a weaker "bunker" above ground or exposed with weak top cover.

2. Yes, works quite well to air recon and then move ground unit to see air spotted units and call down arty.

Ricky is very correct on point 2.

I use this feature a lot too. Those air recon units can search around close to the front lines and spot something. Once they spot something I click on the hex to see visible hexes and then move a unit into the visibile hex area and then either call down airstrikes or artillery. Another GREAT feature! Doing this prevents having to have recon units or ground units lead with their chin by randomly running into things.
