First official AIW game has been logged by Alpha Two and billk1. Dawn Attack, a draw. Congrats, gents.

Care to comment on the scenario, boys?

RE: First AIW Game registered!
"Dawn attack" was the first AIW scenario we have played. Bill was in command of the Israelis and had to seize two objectives held by the Jordanian army. I played the scenario blind and therefore did not know what to expect.

A lot of new weapons and excellent graphics make this mod outstanding! As Andrew "IronX" Glenn told me he made a 25-pdr-Field-Gun just for this scenario.

Bill's Israelis were steadily advancing, killing a Jordanian Mk 4F, my only armoured vehicle. The Jordanian infantry with support of the 25-pdr was finally able to slow the Israelis down. As we did not play with variable ending the game ended after 14 turns. One turn later Bill would have seized one objective and thus managed a minor victory.

In the end most of my infantrymen were pinned and all leaders dead. I was happy with the draw.

This scenario, as well as all the others I am currently playing vs various opponents, is well balanced and great fun to play. In contrast to the Long War mod scenarios the AIW scenarios are no showcase! Hopefully more LW scenarios will be available soon. Andrew did a great work and if you do not own SAW this game should be the next to buy because you will get three games for the price of one with AIW already one of my favourites in the series.

Because Bill and me are steady gaming partners he suggested to play all AIW scenarios one after the other. And this we will do, currently playing "All the King's men".

Good deal. You guys should post an AAR of some of your games to peek further interest in this title.

I've been meaning to get into AIW a bit more, but time constaints have kept me from it.
