The War That Still Rages
After having issues with my last 2 blog hosts I have set my own up at the FGM site. I'll post the url to my articles in here and if you want go over and have a look and maybe comment.

The Blog is new and so will probably get polished over the next few days/weeks as I add all the content.

Thanks

RE: The War That Still Rages
The article about German schools still named after Nazis resonates with me - I live in Arlington, Virginia, and you can hardly swing a dead cat without hitting a school, major road, or shopping center named for some Confederate leader or general. Jefferson Davis Hiway, also known as Route 1, is one of the major North-South traffic arteries between Arlington and Alexandria. No one bats an eye about it that I can tell -- I never hear about protests or attempts to get the names changed. But it has always seemed a bit odd.

RE: The War That Still Rages
To be honest, I don't have a problem with a school being named after a former Nazi, it would depend entirely on who the Nazi was. Likewise I have no issue with schools etc being named after Confederates in the US, it would again depend upon the individual Confederate. I would even go so far as to say I would just as likely take exception to a Union or Allied officer's name being used for a school building (again, dependent upon the individual so honored). Not every one in an organization can be good or bad. Individual honors such as names of schools should be based on individual merit. IMO anyway.
