RE: Vesku`s Birthday today!
Are you suggesting that I was drinking in the middle of the week? What kind of person would that make me? A Finn?

Thanks! :)

I was riding with a cop in 1988 as he explained to me that police dread Thursday 3-11 shifts above all others, because the hardcore drinkers get an early start. He then pulled into the steeply sloped parking lot of a convenience store (gas station).

An obviously plastered hillbilly pulled up next to us in his ancient battered pickup. He did a double-take as he glanced over and realized the 5-0 was sitting right there. The picture of nonchalance, he got out and sauntered toward the store ...

... and his pickup rolled back and knocked over a gas pump. He'd left it in neutral.

I've been fond of Thursday night drinking ever since then, which is why my Thursday night posts are always the best ones. ;)
