Thermal Imaging
New here quick Q re TI

Have a large none stock Scn based on the Germany Scn for NGP, timeframe is circa 1989. Obviously at this time there was a fair amount of TI around. Now the way its simulted in the game it is just too powerfull, it breaks the age old golden wargaming rule of adding a positive modifier too one side and a negative modifier to the other. Now is it feasable within the PDT and or weather data file to alter one sides visibilty (namely NATO) to 2 hexes at night and not the other ??

RE: Thermal Imaging
Visibility refers to available light and humidity conditions, blowing sand etc. They affect everyone the same on both sides.

RE: Thermal Imaging
Why don't you just remove the TIS flag for the units if you don't like it. As for the age old golden war gaming rule, the "negative" modifier does not have to have a direct relationship with the TIS flag. For example, the general idea -- in theory -- is the horde of RED is their positive modifier, the TIS *is* BLUE's positive modifier. How this works in a scenario is up to the designer.
