There has to be one somewhere :-)
Generals,
There is still a need for a 9th Army commander in a Kursk team campaign. The team consists of Otto von Blotto and kernelt. Yes, it is a tough campaign for the Germans but, I kinda thot there might be German general somewhere that might be up to the challenge. I do understand tho if it is too tough for a Whermacht General to tackle :-)

I can't say enough good things about these campaign games. A couple of months ago my free time was drastically reduced and I pretty much stopped playing any game, except two of Earl's campaign games.

In these games your turn to turn actions have implications far into the future of your campaign.

Tired of the rush for VP hexes towards the end of a scenario? In the campaign games you are deciding which crossroads or hill are worth holding.

Tired of an opponent aggressively scouting with half tracks or the infamous truck road block to slow you down? Fine by me as I want my opponent to throw away his transport. Let his forces move by foot or his artillery get stranded later in the game.

Ammunition levels, a Commander in Chief that has to decide on which sector of the campaign front to allocate scarce reserves, historical continuity of your units, it's all in there.

Highly recommend taking up the challenge.

I like the campaign concept and I would take it if the Batallion HQ's are still present, otherwise I pass.

Battalion HQ's are way too numerous for this level and scale of EF..........OOB is raised to regimental level in most instances......in fact I rarely use battalion HQs in most of my team games.......that and the plethora of small indirect fire units simply slow the game down and make for very boring gaming....altho in the campaigns I do keep the smaller units as it is a continued game.

I disagree respectfully. I think taking them out works contra productive and actually slows the game down.
I can hardly play properly without the Batallion organisation. I'm experiencing that in the game that Jason is supervising. It takes much more time to control the regiments without being able to highlight the separate batallions. If they at least still had their leaders you could highlight them, making organizing a bit less time consuming.

I really think that all units really have a purpose in the game. At least those that were in the original Talonsoft version, so I'm not talking about snipers etc. I can't think of any small indirect fire weapons that are insignificant. I think I like them all and have learned to appreciate their value.

Don't mean to stray away from the subject, but My question is for Von Earlman. Are your campaign games compatible with the new Matrix version? Or will I have to go and buy all the old games in the future before I could play?

Any new campaigns will all be done using latest Matrix version. The above campaign is using this version. 48th Pz Korps has contacted me first. He will make a decision soon and if he accpets the slot will be filled andif not I will contact the next person on the list.
