Wright-Patterson Air Force Museum
This Museum is free and is located in Dayton, Ohio. My wife and I recently visited - I was very impressed with the displays. Here I am with a Spitfire behind me:

A lot of German equipment was on display. Here is a JU-88:

Here is an ME262 - awesome design:

Here is the B29 "Bocks Car" that dropped the FAT MAN bomb on Nagasaki:

Other items on display included a quad 20mm AA gun, a V2 rocket, and a FW190. We just saw the WWII section due to time constrictions but there were planes from all eras. Anyone passing by there should check it out!

That is pretty cool, especially the German aircraft. They must be pretty rare, especially this side of the pond.

I live pretty close to Vintage Wings of Canada (link), although I haven't had a chance to visit yet. I work close to the Ottawa Airport though, and the F-86 has been doing quite a few flights this spring, I've seen it twice. I've also seen the Spitfire, the Hurricane, the Mustang and the Corsair in formation while driving down the highway. That was distracting....:eek1:

I was there last summer and am going again this very week, by amazing coincidence.

The Smithsonian Air and Space out by Dulles airport outside DC is the only comparable display I've seen anywhere in the US.

I was in Columbus on business about 10 years ago and spent a Saturday over at the Air Force Museum. Walking around under the B-36 in the "modern age" hanger is amazing. Big Airplane to be indoors.
