RE: Unit icon creation tutorial petition
easy....
You create a bmp picture 180 by 77 pixels, then you need to give it a background color. Then you have to paste a drawing of your liking (reduced to the right size).
After that you can adjust the position of the drawing in your icon, usually on a PzC game the bottom of a drawing is at 61 pixel vertical.
The name of the icon will have to match the name of the component in the oob.

Right
The things to remember is:
- MUST be a BMP (not JPGs and other graphic file formats
- Filename of the BMP must match the component name
(be careful using characters like " or periods in the component name which can't match the BMP file name)
- background color doesn't matter as long as it is one solid color
Where fancy editors like Photoshop come in handy is with super imposing two images over top one another on a solid background.

Paint does work but Photoshop makes everything easier, i got an older 5.0 version off ebay for 9.99 with delivery, been using it for about a year.

Thanks to everyone, i'll try to paste the East German soldier of Volcanomods for Danube '85 over a BTR 152 (simulating a PSW 152) and i'll post results, just to see....

That's where all the fun start... Now you have to clean all those white pixels
