Ok after short break DK and Owl have been hard at it and are a few turns ahead of me again, they may have even finished it, they are certainly close.
Turn 28
Owls routing units run straight at a Plt of DKs inf.
One squad makes it to the woods and promptly surrenders without taking further casualties, the other squad isn't so lucky and is mercilessly wiped out.
Here we see how edgy troops can get if you tell them to withdraw.
This squad was pinned but given the withdraw order runs back.
But as the fire comes in on surrounding squads the squad panics despite not taking any casualties and not being directly targeted.
After deciding he couldn't push into the woods owl consolidates his position around the town square, he's leaving it fairly open for DK to be able to get his inf into those light buildings.
Doesn't look like DK has enough on this edge of the woods to make a push for the town square, he is however getting 2 squads round the back of that immob StuG.
