Main Event V: Owl vs. Der Kuenstler

Turn-29

DK advances his inf forward, they fire a rifle grenade.



But misses



But DK stops his men before they are in satchel charge range.



I'm sure if DK knew it only had 4mg ammo left he'd make a run for it, I usually use fast to attack vehicles with inf.



Owl throws up a smoke screen.

Ok we are at the end of regulation time, into extra time we will go.

Dk gets his inf closer to that StuG, still out of satchel charge range though.



Finally some activity in the east, DK moves his Pz IVs with the cover of the smokescreen.



But DK has regroup his armor over here.

Turn 31

DK gets that StuG





Owl keeps moving his armor, that US contact marker is a sharpshooter.

Turn 33

They have actually finished but a few more turns to do the DAR on, so i won't go spoiling it by giving out the result now ;)

Owl moves his PzIVs forward trying to take that flag, but he meets a barrage of bazooka fire.



The first volley falls short but they soon fire off another, if you look closely you can see the 2 rounds side by side in front of the PzIV



And they score a kill!



The next panzer rolls forward and is taken out by the zooks



One round penetrates and another follows up





Morale of this story? Never underestimate the effectiveness of zooks against medium armor.

Turn 33

Owl moves his one surviving PzIV forward again, he's also making an infantry advance on this flag.



But buttoned and blind it just moves straight into the sights of a 76 and is quickly dispatched. Owls Inf make it but they are now tired and still too far from the flag to contest it.

Turn 34

Owl is trying to consolidate his control of this flag, fortunatly for him DK is pulling back his infantry at the same time.



One squad panics and then routs, straight at the enemy!



Running full pelt at the enemy they take heavy casualties



And are quickly wiped out



And owl has full control of this flag



Owl moves his JdPzs forward, they don't spot any enemies but a 76(w) sees one of them



Only one more turn to go and we're done!
