CMx2 Normandy
Has anyone been following the new Normandy game discussions at Battlefront? Looks and sounds pretty good. Release early 2010?

Here is a compiled thread:

And here is a screen shot:

I guess there will be the base game of Normandy followed by many expansion modules, covering the entire European theater. Not sure about the Pacific yet. Since it's CMx2, we'll have individual soldiers.

RE: CMx2 Normandy
Looks pretty - but this is still not a WEGO system, right? If it is RTS, I'm not that excited.

RE: CMx2 Normandy
CMSF allows you to play wego in single player and PBEM but for TCP/IP i'm afraid its RT only

RE: CMx2 Normandy
Oh and wego doesn't stand for anything i don't think, its just what BF calls the turn based system in CMX1

RE: CMx2 Normandy
It means each player gives orders and then "WEGO" - both orders turns are played out as a movie as in CMx1 titles.

RE: CMx2 Normandy
I don't play CMSF but if it (CMx2) has wego for PBEM and SP then I'll play Normandy. Guess I should load up SF and get used to the interface.

RE: CMx2 Normandy
From what i read PBEM files will be huge for medium sized battles.
Maybe this would be a problem as sometimes in CMSF the game was crashing when the file was too big.
