unit visibility question
OK have been playing an EF scn with me as the krauts. It is normal vis and variable vis is not turn on. I often run into units that are not AT guns that my units can't see even after they fire. I practically have to run over them (assault style) to get them to show.

Does anyone know what the factors that go into visibility? What factors keep them from showing even after they fire.

By chance were they ATR platoons? They are covered under the small AT gun visibility rule.

I also know that if a unit fires and eliminates the only unit that can see it at the time it fires it stays hidden.

To you by chance have the scenario file still? I would love to see it.

Thanx!

Page 87 in the manual goes over some of the visibility rules. You can find the manual on your hard drive: C:\Matrix Games\John Tiller's Campaign Series\Manuals\CS-Manual-[EBOOK].pdf.

Unfortunately there's a mathmatical formula there which produced an instant headache, so hopefully you're better at that stuff than I.
