Waterloo Large Campaign No Units Fixed:
Greetings:

Would like and opponent for HPS's Waterloo Large Campaign No Units Fixed. We'll be happy to play either side but will be picky about optional rules. Learned my lesson on that.

Hi Iley:

I'll take the Prussians/Anglo-Allies.

Any optional rules OK by me.

Please send me your first turn. ([email protected])

I suggest you fellows use this scenario:

The stock campaign scenario is wholly imaginary. The designer just fabricated it. It has no historical authenticity whatsoever. Prinz von Egan

If I rename these new files will the game be able to find them for these new scenarios??

The unit files will just give you nicer uniforms. You'll want to use them. They won't affect the stock scenarios except by giving the units prettier uniforms. Same with the 2D files, you'll get a nicer map and easier to read 2D units. The stock weapons data file can be saved in a bin (just create a bin folder in WL).

How do I create a bin folder, and once there, will the game know to use the the file in that folder for the stock scenarios?

Thanks for your help johnnymackbrown.

When you have the WL folder open just go to "file" on top and click 'new.' The new folder will appear and name it bin. Move your stock weapons data file there. Then download the new scenario files. When you want to play a stock scenario just move the new weapons data file into another folder 'bin2' and then move the stock weapons data file back into the WL folder. This is the only file you have to worry about. All the rest you can over-write as it will only increase your enjoyment of the game and not interfere with the playing of any stock scenario. J

RE: Waterloo Large Campaign No Units Fixed:
You might also want to know that ALL the historical scenarios in HPS WL are wholly imaginary. Unfortunately the designer was busy with other projects, or something, and just threw them together and managed to fool everyone at HPS; none of whom checked his work and all of whom are still in denial about the fraud.
