Scenarios
Got a new one to throw out there. "Amba Alagi". Any cat who wants to... can do a figure check on the map or the OOB.

That is the difference with my philosophy and the H2H philosophy. I believe, any and all are my friends and/or opponents.

In RS...there were a number of 100+ turn scens that needed to be split into halves and then into thirds, or less.

I think I will let this one lie...for the better scenario designer...to have his way. Here is the raw material.

Amba Alagi...

1-14 May, 1941
Amba Alagi, Abyssinia: Massawa, in Eritrea, and Addis Ababa,
the capitol of Abyssinia, had fallen to the British. The Italian
Duke of Aosta had assembled approximately one third of the remaining
Facist forces at the massif of Amba Alagi, about 235 miles south
of Massawa and north of Addis Ababa. Here, the hills were higher
than those at Keren and were just as steep. Moreover a greater
problem of maintenance, for the Commonwealth forces, over such
a distance from the port of Asmara, imposed a heavy burden on
the logistical trail. The stripped down 5th Indian Division
was tasked with the capture of this Italian redoubt and advanced
from the north. To the south of Amba Alagi, the 1st South African
Brigade had captured Dessie, on April 28th, and was advancing
from the south. During the last days of April advanced Commonwealth
forces had occupied jumping off points near Falaga Pass prior
to the planned main effort to capture Amba Alagi which was scheduled
to commence on 1 May with a diversionary move against Falaga
Pass while 29 Brigade approached from the northwest. The South
Africans were still days away. For the Italians there was nowhere
else to go, this would be their stand. This scenario covers
the actions from 1 May to 14 May with approximately 7.14 turns
equalling the actions of one day in the abysmal weather occuring
at the time of the battle.

100+ turns to complete. A whole lot less to deride...
Here I am...

Cheers
Guberman
