Midway is a blast!!!!
This is a really good game! Lots of fun! The A/I is good! Once you get the hang of it, you can play it at 10x speed and put it on pause for decision making. Just played the 12 hours of June 4 as American, lost 128 planes, didn't get a hit on any IJN carriers but didn't lost any of my own. Lost Midway but kept my fleet, all in about 2 hours. This is a great game! jonnyBig Grin

RE: Midway is a blast!!!!
Glad you are enjoying it...I usually ramp up to 4x or 5x during the search phase and while planes are being spotted etc. I go down to 1x or 2x when its time for close in action such as resolution of strikes, etc.

IMHO this game totaly changes the engine...it was ok before, it now is really enjoyable. The AI is a challenge & deployment boxes give enough variation that there's tons of hours of enjoyment right out of the box. And of course you can always create your own scenarios.

How do the deployment boxes work. May I use them in any scenario? After playing Pearl Harbor advanced warning a few time I know where everything is. May I vary that and other scenrios so I don't know where the A/I's deployments are? :cheeky:

They are setup in the scenario editor when it is created - or can be added later. So you would need to go into it to make the alteration, however I suggest you save the scenario file with a new name once you have changed it, so your changes don't get over written with future updates.
