Broken Units
I have a question about broken units. Can they recover and how? Units automatically go to max fatigue when they break and the rules suggest that broken units must be less than max fatigue. Keep them safe behind the lines and don't move them?

RE: Broken Units
Actually, units won't break UNTIL they reach max fatigue, that is a requirement to break - and be disrupted I think? I don't recall a unit ever going from good order to broken in the same attack, anyway. It must recover some fatigue, and being close to its direct HQ gives the unit an extra chance of recovering from broken status -and disrupted.

So rest, move the unit and HQ close to each other, and it should eventually recover - better units will recover more quickly. It is all based on chance.

RE: Broken Units
Thanks! That's what I thought. This mechanic will necessarily cause offensives in some areas to grind to a halt as units gain fatigue and become disrupted.

RE: Broken Units
and let me tell you it works:) and thank god because i am playing the french at Charleroi and got my doors blown off the first day. Luckily the Germans took alot of fatigue as well and I am recovering somewhat.
It's not the one with your name on it; it's the one addressed "to whom it may concern" you've got to think about.
