rules problems in this tournament !

Thumbs_Down  rules problems in this tournament !
Hi,

I am embarrassed by two points of rule in this tournament.

Firstly, in the announcement of the tournament, Owl wrote "We start with 16 players. The best 8 (% of 2 games) will fight in a new battle (Recce First) and thereafter the best 4 will play the final battle (Fast Wheels)"
The first round is over now, and there is still 16 players are gaming!!!???
What is the key to win this tournament?

Secondly, Owl explained me how the drawings lots were made. The higher your first game score is, the higher rank opponent you play. In this way, if we strictly respect this way to do, the roll should give this:

Allies VS Axis
1 VS 2
3 VS 1
2 VS 4
4 VS 3
5 VS 6
7 VS 5
6 VS 8
8 VS 7
9 VS 10
11 VS 9
10 VS 12
12 VS 11
13 VS 14
15 VS 13
14 VS 16
16 VS 15

But Owl’s drawings lots is:

1 VS 4
3 VS 1
5 VS 2
2 VS 3
4 VS 5
6 VS 7
8 VS 9
9 VS 6
7 VS 8
10 VS 11
12 VS 13
14 VS 15
15 VS 10
13 VS 14
11 VS 12

It doesn’t respect the rule. It is not very fair than player rank 3 has to play VS opponents rank 1 and 2! In my opinion, R1 has to play R2 and R3. And why 6 VS 9? 15 VS 10 ? Really, I think we should redraw this lot as i mentionned above.

What do you think of these anomaly points? Thanks to give your opinion fast, before games begin.

Regards.

RE: rules problems in this tournament !
Ok gents:

1st point: Selection of the best 8 players wasn't possible because some results are still not in. So some of the participants have only 1 result and it's unfair to exclude them therefore for the rest of the tournament.
2nd There are some minor differences in the draw but there isn't 1 player who has to fight an opponent with more then 4 places difference and further the participants with only 1 finished battle will result in an other position when the points of their 2nd battle is on the list.
3rd and last and specially for Jawsconan. This is about your 4rd or 5th mail with only questions and critical remarks. Creating a tournament, specially with 3 different scenario's etc is a lot of work, witch I enjoy, building maps etc and I try to make them as spectacular, challenging and fair as possible, but when you have only this kind of messages, your free to find yourself an other tournament or even better start yourself a new one!

After battle 2 we will use your draw system:
1 VS 2
3 VS 1
2 VS 4
4 VS 3
5 VS 6
7 VS 5
6 VS 8
8 VS 7
9 VS 10
11 VS 9
10 VS 12
12 VS 11
13 VS 14
15 VS 13
14 VS 16
16 VS 15
In ´Recce First´ we continue!

Hi,

Owl's wrote : "3rd and last and specially for Jawsconan. This is about your 4rd or 5th mail with only questions and critical remarks. Owl, I apologies if i disturbed you with my questions. My intention is not to criticise you, not at all. Of course i know that it is not easy to manage a tournament when some players who subscribe stop to play or don't send their turns without a good reason (may be those kind of players should not be included again in some new tournaments...)

I just wanted to have explanation about why we were still 16, now i have it. I ask you about the drawing lot because I like when rules are strictly applied, that's all. If everybody don't care of your drawing lot (except me...), i will play like that.

best regards.
