1914 art request
I LOVE this game but I'm getting old, or careless, and have a request. Would it be possible for one of you modders to make the unit art for machine gun units look very different than the infantry?
There are so many units in this game and the units pictures look so similiar that I lose track of which are infantry and which are MG about 1/2 way though a turn of the campaign.
Thanks.

I suspect that he's talking about the counter icons, which are very similar. Especially so in cases where the division colors are dark, it can be hard to distinguish the infantry with or without a line on the left side.

Hmm, if that is the case, the easiest thing to do would be to go into the game's Map folder and find the 2DSymbolsLg file, locate the HMG icons and draw another black line / row of pixels on it.

Two questions: Where do we get this art work?
How do you get the pictures to appear in the text body rather than as an attachment? Thanks, jonny:smoke:

That'd be Jison's mod for F14. You can get it here:

http://www.hist-sdc.com/MapMod/fwwc.htm

...I don't know the answer to the other question, although I imaging it has to do with the use of the URL code.

Jison's site and mods need WinRAR to download. I wonder if anyone can give me some information about this? I checked the site and the download is c. 30 bucks. jonny :cheeky:

Use 7Zip. It's free, it packs/unpacks all manners of compression, including .rar files, zip files, etc.

Did I mention that it's free? :cool2:

Download the .exe version, it's a self-installing program.
