Fastphil and I are done.

Minor defeat for me as Amis, he got a Draw.

Stupidly got both my tanks greased, and then, as the Heer, had no response to a last turn VP grab that I knew was coming. Missed a pair of draws by that much...

OTOH, both sides in both battles really gave the last full measure. If this stuff is even close to history, please list this as one of the places I would not want to have been.

Enjoyed both the scenario and the opponent!

There are many good reads on the Hurtgen Forest combat, as well as a movie When Trumpets Fade, which isn't half bad.

Basically I think that the fighting there is represented well with these scenarios. It was a true meat grinder with many lives lost for sometimes just a few hundred yards of terrain. Due to the Battle of the Bulge, this part of WWII gets largely over-looked.

PK Powers and I just finished up... I got a Major Loss as the Americans ( lost both my tanks!!!) and a draw as the Germans. This scenario was a lot of fun, excited to see the next one.
