RE: IT IS ON! (Need scenarios for 1939) The World in Flames Tournament - The Prelude
Just a small question - after reading the rules I noticed that it makes no mention of ladder points. Am I right in assuming that all games results also get reported on the ladder?

Nemesis, I added you to the Axis team. Rudolph H., you go to Allied side. OK? As there is a lack for scenarios this early, I suggest you two start to battle out the Big Bully, so that we can have another result from the Balkans.

Wait until you get the game password from the CinCs, though!

Nemesis I just e-mailed the Axis password to you.

Rudolph H., Larry is off for the weekend, but he will send you the Allied password shortly I am sure.

EDIT: Nemesis had to drop out at least for a while, hopefully he is around for future rounds. So I guess Rudolph H. that puts you to the Reserves until 1939, unless we get an additional player. The Prelude is just one round, so the next round should not be that far off.

Everyone: You should now have an email from me including an Excel spreadsheet where I put a lot of the tournament stuff into. The Axis team should also have received the first round of orders for The Prelude. If you have not received anything, then the e-mail available in your profile page is propably not working.

EDIT NOV 8: I've come to realise not everyone has Microsoft Excel available. The spreadsheet I've sent is by no means mandatory or even necessary for this tournament. It contains the Tournament rules that are posted in the Tournament thread, teams together with e-mails, available from the email and Blitz profile pages, and the Scenario / player information that is posted to Tournament thread as well.

EDIT NOV 8: Some of the files seemed to have gone AWOL from the scenario database... Rod has re-loaded his scenarios including ** Abyssinia's last hope so they should now be available. Thanks!

If you want someone to fill in for Nemesis I'll be glad to, that way Rudolph can play. I'll give the spot back to Nemesis when he becomes available to play again. E-mail and let me know whats up.

Chuck

RE: IT IS ON! (Need scenarios for 1939) The World in Flames Tournament - The Prelude
Cheers Chuck, and thanks for stepping in! Why don't you take the ** Big Bully against Rudolp, for the Axis side. We are still sorting out the players for each scenario, but we should be able to start soon.

Ashley, it is definitively OK to report the games for ladder purposes. It seems I had omitted that part from the rules section, but took it for granted instead.

Rod, it was in the first email I sent out with the whole tournament crew as recipient. PM me if you cannot find it and I will resend.

I updated the Tournament thread with the participants facing each other for each battle!

Let the fighting begin - good luck to everyone!

RE: BATTLESTATIONS! (Need 1939 scenarios) The World in Flames Tournament - The Prelude
Hi All,

Chuck, thanks for stepping in so that I can participate in the earlier rounds, I am still waiting for Larry to send the Allied password - although I could use one of my own, then we can start. If you have the Axis password then you may as well get it under way and send the first turn over, even if Axis don't move first.

cheers

Hi Rudolph,
Still waiting for password,as soon as I get we'll start. I think they're trying to sort out all the players and get things rolling. I look forward to playing you.

Just to ensure everyone sees this: the Tournament thread contains the information about the teams, scenarios, and who's-playing-who.

The Tournament thread is located at the tournament section of the message boards:

Good luck! Any questions, comments, ideas, post'em here cheers

A word of warning to my Axis players in Africa: it seems the intelligence informing us the Ethiopians would be only armed with spears and arrows was way off mark!

I will have the intelligence officers sent to front lines!!

Hang
