Rite of passage, I'm afraid. You're a little older than I was when playing in an adult "touch" football league one fall. In this case, touch being "no pads and no actual tackling to the ground, but all else goes." About half of the players were off-season D-leaguers trying to stay in shape, dreams of the NFL still dancing in their young heads.

I was at right tackle and ended up way down the line. My QB threw and we all sort of eased up. Ball was popped up, then a pick oh crap. I start running back down the line, eyes upfield to see the defensive back's initial cut. All of a sudden the sky starts revolving. Then upside-down houses whoosh downward from the top of my field of vision. Then the hard, beaten earth arrives at Mach 1.

A 280-lbr college-caliber player had hit me so hard that I did a mid-air 270°.

I'm far from petite, so it really was quite impressive. It was also the first smack upside my head that I should slow down a scootch. The next morning I had to slide out of bed sideways ...

Oh, I have misunderstood you. I thought, YOU wants for Germans. :) While we haven't started fight, I can easily replace my nation with Germans, and we can begin new game. I even prefer Germans in July 1943 more.

Or we will continue old game?
