I can't really use that "N" key, myself, for the reasons stated.
What I would like to see (although I suspect it is not do-able) is a highlight of all units that have at least 1/3 of their movement allowance remaining (i.e. are at least in the yellow).

I am not opposed to the ideas here for more menu / toolbar buttons as some members have posted in this thread. I just do not feel the need to micro manage my units to this extent.
