Guys,
I'm playing my own scn which has its own OOB, PDT, SCN files and some extra graphics. I update the game and then one of my unit graphics no longer works. I checked the folder and it's still where it should be, but the unit is blank. Any ideas?
A leading cause of vanishing graphics has always been the invisible space that sneaks into a file name either in the instructions for the game to read it, or on the file itself. It's gotten to the point that I almost never write out a file name if I can go into rename, copy the original title, delete the source bitmap, and paste the old name into the new bitmap's naming field. It's a really insidious problem, because that space usually doesn't look like it's there: sometimes it's there twice and sometimes it isn't there at all.
Just hope your problem comes from what I'm describing, and isn't something worse or system-related.

Have seen this a couple of times, check the unit name with the missing graphics, then check the graphic file is correctly named with any Capital letters, spaces, brackets etc.

No, it was an existing scn I've had for years. I was in the middle of playing a PBeM of it when I noticed the empty pic. Other than the official update, NOTHING else was changed.

What game, which scenario and name of the unit graphic would help narrow down the problem. Ive done mods for all my games.

What game, which scenario and name of the unit graphic would help narrow down the problem. Ive done mods for all my games.
I just pasted another StuG IIIg graphic over the one that was there and it worked. Weird. Makes no sense. O well, at least it works now.
