WinSPWW2 ceasefire?
Is there anyway to ask for a ceasefire in a campaign scenario..or ask if the AI wants to surrender.

I still have about 20 turns left and it's obvious the AI isn't going to get anywhere..

Nope, you have to run out the turns until the AI feels it can no longer win.

Well ten turns later they hit me with another attack..lost a few tanks but beat them off.

Does the game AI have issues with bunching up infantry into Russian human wave style? Or is it because I'm playing a long campaign and the AI isn't as good (not sure how the AI works though are there triggers? Is the AI programmed in single, hand made scenarios rather than generated ones like in a long campaign?)

These questions will respond in the best way in the official forum. For there you will find the game developers.
But I can tell the AI always acts as kamikaze.

I think it's as good as can be. I do not know if you plan to modify the AI.
For a greater challenge you can play vs human (PBEM).

Roman as I mentioned in another thread I have serious commitment issues with regards to PBEM and all things in general. I played SB PBEM and now as I wont do PBEM anymore I can never play SB again as the AI just isn't the same. DOn't want to do that with SP...I shall put up with it but you can tell it's pretty poor. I was hoping it was because they where Polish and poor troops.

I did find the games against a defending AI OK though but thats usual fare for games.

You can modify the AI to give it bonus and such to make it harder for you, but all in all the AI will run it's tanks through the same defile that just caused it to lose 6 other tanks without hesitation. Plus the AI deployment is rather ludicrous, real shotgun method. As for shrapnel......

There is nothing wrong with playing the AI, the nice thing is you go as you please. SP and CM are the only games I have ever played against a human, all my others that can be played live I never do as I much prefer just sitting in front of the computer and bashing away.

I've never liked an AI that cheats with modifiers, I was hoping it would use some sort of strategy.

If you don't want to change modifiers.

Since we all know the AI is obsessed with capturing VH's,you can place them closer to their side in a meeter, not as in defend but making them easier to take without being so reckless, and make those VH's of little value.

That way the AI goes to a more defensive posture where they may stand off reckless manuever and counter attack if possible, thus acting more "human like".

This should work in campaigns as well,

Just a theory as i've never tried it,but i'm sure the AI will not lose as much armor as it does early in battle ;)
