Hello everybody,

After a "couple" of years of inactivity, I'd like to start PBEM-ing again.

But before I can start, I have a question..... Are there still players out there that are playing games with the Talonsoft Battleground Series on 32-bit ?

I believe that the Matrix and Talonsoft versions pbem files are compatible for play regardless of 32 or 64 bit; am I mistaken?

Seems like I am facing a major problem..... I can't get the original Talonsoft games installed (I am running Windows 7 and the system doesn't respond to the 'resolving of compatability problems'). :complain:

Can somebody help me out here or is there nothing that can be done ?????

Get the patches from here and reinstall. I believe it's two patches per game. First patch "1.xx" the second patch "1.xx to 2.xx". Make sure everything is unzipped in the main folders and overwrites when prompted.

Thanks for the tip Graeme, but the thing is that I can't get the games installed in the first place.

Agmoss99 explained to me - in the Napoleonic thread - that I would have to buy the Matrix edition of the games, since Windows 7 doesn't allow the games to get installed (something to do with the start.exe), to get started again.

Ok, I went out and bought the Matrix bundle, so now all I have to do is install (which will be done later on today).

Medic21, I'll send you a mail later on (when I've installed the game).

Just a quick update... I am trying to download the file from Plimus but this is proving to be very troublesome, I will inform as soon as i get it installed (finally)
