News  Revised scenario
Hey all, just revised Charles Kiblers Zamoshe scenario. It dealt with the spanish blue division, and was still using Germans instead of the New Division Azul units! I thought I had redone all of the Spanish ones, but will have to go through again and make sure. I entered it in the scenario database, under [REV]Zamoshe.

RE: Revised scenario
Keep up the good work.
But, Mike, I had Azul in my "Spark on the Blues" scenario. Maybe CK "Zamoshe" scenario was made prior to their inclusion into the version 1.02/.03/.04 updates? Confused

BTW, what makes you exclusive, is that you breathed life into CS and generated great interest with your Korean and Katalyn mods. Thumbs Up
Keep up with keeping this old game fresh, my friend. Mexican Smoke

And, your thread posts on the Matrix forum about graphics brought Digiartist back to designing graphics for CS. Maracas

cheers

RE: Revised scenario
Thank you sir!
Spark on the Blues? What is the filename, never heard of it, my extreme bad!!! Just redid all the rest of the others I could find, all were using the old files! That is all three Novgorod scenario's. Also updated the soviet units in them to the proper units, were all using default, which is now Rifle 38. The 267th and 305th were both organized in 1941. The one scenario, I think the first Novgorod, was a night scenario, but since the old engine didn't have night, the designer used vis 2, which is thick fog, and then you can't see gunflashes, fixed that also. The third one is now a Dawn attack, was same thing before, changed it to dawn attack, and vis changed also, added starshells as well.

I would almost bet most of the original stock scenario's all still are unaltered, would be nice to revise all of them, breathe new life into old scenario's!!

Don't worry, I never took offense at your statement, you're a good guy! And it is my pleasure indeed to do all this stuff for this game, if I'm able, probably the best game system I ever owned, second to none!!

Thank you all for still playing this game, enjoying what guys put into it!

RE: Revised scenario
Ok, just finished up with the other four scenarios that were dealing with the Spanish. Blue Volkov, Grab for Russa, Counterattack at Sitno, and KrasniBor. They all have been updated with the Spanish units, were used, and also updated the other infantry to be correct. Ranks also were used by nationality for flavor, and the one utilises the new Night to Dawn routine. They are all under the EF section where I put Zamosche, and all are at the end with [REV] before them. That is how you will find them in the game also, under date. They appear right next to the stock scenario of the same name in the listing.

RE: Revised scenario
Ok, seems like only one person downloaded it anyway so far, you will need to please download it agai, my apologies! The scenario is [REV]Counterattack at Sitno, filename Novgorod3, for some reason, it would crash out EF when trying to start a new scenario. I redid the intro, and it seems something was amiss there, because now it's fine. I just modified the files again, and are up in the database for EF. Thanks again for bearing with me!

RE: Revised scenario
Update,

Revised Zamoshe again, had NOT done anything with the original German or Russian units. Put in 41 Veteran for the Geremans, as the 126th had been in the field awhile by this point, and the Russians got 41 Greens, as they were a relatively new unit, organised from reserves. Also, took away the fixed status on all units, made it a dusk scenario, since after reading the account, it seems the relief never even got to Zamosh'e until 1800 hours at which point it was pitch black. Up until then the Spanish were trudging through dark forests in waist-deep snow and flurries. Also provided starshells, as in most cases by turn 10 it will turn to night. As before, it is in the database. Will be looking into the other ones as well for balance issues...
