RE: "In the shadow of the hill" round 1!
Would a game be officially 'started' when only the pasword exchange has taken place so far?

I would say yes. Since contact has been established between the two players i guess i can mark the game as started. Why? Do you have any issues?

I understand that Raz.
But as I write this, I still have not had a chance to look at my units yet!
My opponent send his very first password turn literally just hours before the deadline, and immediately he posted to this thread that our game has started.
But in fact for me nothing has started yet. As he does not reply to my mails, I seriously doubt if I should continue with this...
Again I am open for suggestions... or some comforting words that can quiet the monster in me called 'impatience'.

I understand your frustration. The only thing i can do is to assign you another opponent if your current opp fails to send you his next turns in a timely manner. I'll try to contact him to see if he's still interested in this game.

Nasty battle. Nelsons Ambushes were effective through out the entire battle. I had to rush late in the game to try and claim the entire Horse Shoe Wood. Had Nelson Mounted a counter assault he may have caused twice as many casualties.
FUN FUN FUN!
