Claiming
OK, I have been patient. Since January and March I have sent numerous e-mails to Zorglub and Dr Death about our games that we had on. I have not received any turns or answers from them, even after calling them on the forum.
To be fair, in Zorglub's case I am just going to claim for a minor victory. He disappeared on the last turn and it was very close up to that point. In Dr Death's case I'll claim full as per the rules. We weren't even halfway through the game.

Well, I can't report the game against Dr Death. His name does not appear in the members list. Doesn't really matter.

You bet, I agree totally with you...very bad form to just disappear like that.

RE: Claiming
I couldn't find Dr Death on the boot list, or in-actives so he may have been a boot that had not reported a game in 3 months and didn't respond to an email asking if he was still active. If they don't respond then I nuke them.

If you ask Chris, he could give you permission to report your game against our Club Shadow Player. That way, if you really want the points, you can have them, per our Rules of Engagement.

Ahh ha, good man, I didn't even think of that. I will make it so.

RE: Claiming
Thanks guys, I'll do that. I'm not really a fanatic as far as score keeping is concerned, but on the other hand...why not claim after spending weeks and even months on finishing these games.
The sad thing is that I must have lost about 5 guys like this in the last year or two that just disappeared like this. I never bothered to claim but have now decided that I might as well do so for the time and effort that I put into returning my turns everytime.
A bigger concern to me than the scoring is that our small community has just lost members everytime somebody has disappeared. Some of this could be due to them passing away without anyone of us really knowing about it. In some cases I have become 'friends' with these guys during the weeks and months that we play against each other. It would be nice to at least know that they are still well and have just stopped playing due to other real life issues.

By the way, I have posted a while back that I will be retiring from SP after finishing the games that I am busy with, I am withdrawing that plan. I will just try to take on fewer games to make it more manageable to fit in with my limited free time that I have. Let's fight on Helmet Wink

By the way, what's the exact name of the club shadow player that I need to report against? I also don't see that on the members list?

I totally agree, it isn't the "I want free points" it is compensation for the frustration. I was like you, I never reported at least 20 games against MIA opponents and then realized I was cheating myself.

Only I can report against the shadow player. What version of the game and what type of battle was it?

RE: Claiming
Ok, they took my power away. Report your game against the SHADOW PLAYER, and if you cannot against that one then use the SP TOURNAMENT PLAYER and under comments record that it was a default win.

You need to look for "Club Shadow Player", since that is the exact name.

If you look for just "Shadow Player" you will not find it.
