Guys,
Just for your interest here are a few pic's of my recent visit to the monastery of Monte Cassino which as i am sure you all know formed a small part of the 100 mile Gustav line in 1944.

Here is the view from only halfway up, you can see how the monastery dominates the surrounding area.....

Nice photos, it is amazing how it was rebuilt after such devastation.

Very nicely rebuilt with simple looking architecture.

The sidewalk approach to the Polish cemetary with the cross at the end looks really cool as well.

The view from halfway up ia awesome and scary as hell to think Allied troops were that visible on that approach. That is the best picture depicting the view that I've ever seen.
