SP and Win7 easier to install

Just read on Shrapnel that both version of SP can now be fully downloaded with all patches already applied, and they now play nice with Win7 too. One thing they stated was the versions were 5 and 6, I know WW2 is 5 but I didn't know MBT was up to 6.

Not only has the installation routine been updated to take advantage of the newer operating system but both winSPWW2 and winSPMBT are now already patched up to versions 5.0 and 6.0 respectively. What this means is that no longer will new players have to install the games and then upgrade via a series of patches. Simply install the game and you are already good to go with the latest and greatest version.

Thanks for posting this Chris.

It's described as a consolidation patch. Which means you only have to install one patch instead of about eight, or whatever it was up to, to get to the latest version.

I read that the next patches may come out in March 2013
