Lost serial number

Lost serial number
I seem to have misplaced my serial numbers for a couple of titles, and and porting over to a newer machine.

I've tried communicating directly with JTS, but have not received a reply to their on-site inquiry form and my attempt to email Rahamy (the last person I communicated with there) has bounced. I'm posting here because I know that the Tiller people check in frequently.

Is there a way to find where my serial number was logged on the old machine? Was there an entry in the registry, or something? In the alternative, could someone please send me my serial numbers?

I'm currently on turn 29 of a team game of the Moscow title (Klin-Solnichnogorsk scenario) and everyone's waiting for me...

RE: Lost serial number
David, it isn't in the registry - just searched for one of mine and no luck finding it. If you can fire up your old PC you can start the games you downloaded and get the serial # from the Help-About section, otherwise have to wait for Rich to reply - I think he still handles that stuff but probably has a new email if you are getting a bounce.

You know what's weird? The games are installed on an external drive, which is now plugged into the new machine. If their installation in that drive was OK before, why isn't it OK now? (That's what made me think of the registry.)

Huh, it must do a hardware check to block straight copying from one machine to another. I didn't have problems with most of the download games on my new system when they copied over, but you get 2 installs so I might have burned through both now. Might need to uninstall from my old system to free up the serial numbers. If they are in the registry they are encrypted, at least.

Yeah, well, like I said, I've only really installed them once, on the "Free Agent" drive.

That's three titles that I can't play, now. Twilight Zone

RE: Lost serial number
My understanding is that it uses the MAC address of your machine for validation, so without an install on your new machine, it will ask for the serial number.

Rich is your man and will get you your codes....send a follow up. If you don't hear anything, I will try for you.
