France '40
Hello....
I've encountered a problem with the France '40 game. In the two 3D map displays, the 'roads' disappear from the map. I've made several 'clean installs' and installed the latest updates from the HPS site and the problem still persists. Any ideas on what's gone wrong?
Thanks for your help in this matter.

Never heard of this happening before with any HPS PzC game. What system and O/S are you using? What is the version number of the install? Was this a CD or DD version?

RE: France '40
Hello...
My O/S is Windows 8.1. The France '40 game is from a DVD and the update is from the HPS site 'France 40 106.exe'. I have all of the other PzC games installed on my system and none of them have this problem. So, I am really at a loss to explain how or why this is happening. I mean, if its a O/S system having a problem with HPS PzC games I would expect to possibly see it somewhere else, but I don't. Thanks for taking the time to respond so quickly.

Sorry. I am still content with WIN 7. Maybe there is some one else who is familiar with WIN 8.1 & PzC.
Have you checked with the HPS support? I think they solved a similar graphics issue with WIN 8.

RE: France '40
Hello....
Yes, I've thought that the 'problem' might be because of my use of Windows 8.1! But, like I said, I have all of the other games in the series on this same system without such a problem. Considering the intricacies of operating systems though, that might not mean anything. I have 'contacted' HPS twice, never heard a word from them! So, I thought I'd try here. Thank you for taking the time to try helping me out. If I get an answer, or somehow figure it out on my own, I'll make sure to post it here.

I have Windows 8.1, and the graphics card is a Nvidia 670m on a laptop. The roads show up just fine.

Dennis, I too am running Win 8.1 and no issues with any game including France '40. I don't see any way it could be the OS, or your video card, as they should impact the entire map, not just the roads.
I would suggest:
1. Install to a different folder than you have been using. Make sure it isn't any of the program... folders.
2. Before patching, try the game and see if the roads are there are not.
3. Then patch to the latest, patching to that different folder, and try again.

Hello...
Thanks for the response. I'll give that a try and post the results. Yeah, it doesn't make any sense as only that terrain type is effected. And like I said, I have all of the other games and don't have this problem on any of them.
I'll install the game on one of my other drives and a dedicated 'folder', that should give it some 'separation'. Again, thank you for taking the time to respond.

RE: France '40
Hello...
I did as you suggested and it works!
1). Created a separate folder 'HPS Panzer Campaigns'
2). Created a sub-folder there, 'France '40'
3.) Did a fresh install.
4.) Applied the HPS update 1.05
5.) Installed 'Map Mod'
No problems with the display so far. Anything else crops-up I'll post it.
So, thank you very much for your help in this matter.
