Thanks to my opponent for their kinds words.
We had have some problems with pbem files, for example, he couldn't load a turn and I couldn't see the replay combat when I loaded the file. Perhaps is a bug or we have done something wrong.
The most common reason for not being able to load a turn is that your opponent didn't end the turn properly assuming you are using PBEM encryption. You will notice that the game is asking for the other side's password. But files do very occasionally get corrupted in transit. Another reason is players not using the same version of the game, but that is not an issue here.
As for not being able to see the replay, there has been a bug around for a long time that causes errors in viewing the replay. This is not my area of expertise by any definition, but I believe it has to do with incompatibilities with some video cards.
