That is the end of my AAR, first time doing one. If you had the patience to get to the end hope you enjoyed it, greatly appreciate your time. I enjoyed writing it, although honestly halfway through I started to lose the enthusism, if there is a next time, I will be doing much shorter AAR's and less pictures they were a nuisance to edit and get on the forums.

The battle was quite hard I think the Wolf's IDF in particular his light mortars really got to me at the start, and then the 4 Troop getting caught out of position was the nail in the coffin although it was fun game and I think I learned a bit more from it, considering this is my third game and I'm aware Wolf Blitzer is very experienced.

Below are two images of Wolf's mortar teams and a picture of the map with both forces visible, just look at those kills the mortar's got.... I hope those men have trouble sleeping at night...

RE: Operation Lion Sight
Good Game! I think you had a TRP on the hill where my Tank Destroyers where. If not you could have tried direct fire maybe. Your mortars could have made things uncomfortable for them in hopes of driving them off prior to moving your tanks forward. M1os are lightly armored and have no roof on the turret. One of my other m10s lost some crew to airplane straffing.

RE: Operation Lion Sight
That was a most enjoyable read. And...I thought the way you did the screenshots was just superb. Very cool idea with text in the screenshot itself. Hope you do another one in the future.

RE: Operation Lion Sight
Cheers thanks for the feedback!

To be fair I missed out an awful lot, hence why there is map legend, I went into depth on platoon tactics and overall what I wanted to accomplished and how I was going to go about doing it that. Plus I played around with a bad attempt of character development with the officers just for entertainment purposes and for my own amusement.

Although I lost an awful lot of images and I just simply didn't have the enthusiasm to re do them.

But next time hopefully I'll give it justice especially for my opponent sake as well, however I think I will keep it a bit more simple so I don't overwhelm myself perhaps just pictures with text for a more visual read.

Thanks again!! Big Grin

Agreed! I did, named it reference point Echo, but it was in the small forest left of your tanks, don't think it would have been that effective. Reason being it was there because thought you would have used that to hide a weapons platoon or something to over look the village. Considered just hitting your tanks with a light mortar but honestly just thought it would be a waste of munitions, relied too much on the planes which was a mistake due to the time it took them to do the CAS the damage to my ground forces was already done Rolling Eyes
