I was playing the scenario 1914_0913_01s: Everything at Stake! and it goes to artillery fires at 3 targets then enemy returns fire, then I get France14.exe has stopped working comes up, I reinstalled F14 still the same result, any ideas?

Hmm, have you tried updating the game to the latest version? Other than that, if you have the latest version and it still happens, then I guess you could send the saved game file to JTS tech support.

That said, when this "stopped working" comes up, do you still hear sounds being played like additional firing, etc? I ask, because maybe it is a "not responding" message, which can be normal. In that case you just have to wait until the replay is finished. Of course a stopped working situation is something different (a crash).

Does this happen at the map edge.
Against the AI I always select/tick " fast AI " from the drop down menu, which speeds up AI turn.
