BUGS?
Where am I meant to post about possible Normandy bugs? In here?

It seems you can't save (by hitting 'save') campaign battles in the middle of a turn. Is this correct? If so why?  Sometimes it's nice to take the turns in chunks when you haven't much time and there are lots of units to move, but it seems that when you exit the campaign it doesn't automatically save your progress, and it won't let you save manually.

The game does save mid-turn automatically.

When you start a campaign it sets a file called campaign.cpf. When the game first asks for this you can put in any name you like.

If you want to exit mid-turn you just exit the program. It updates the save file automatically.

In the campaign front menu, when you hit play old campaign you can load the campaign you were playing and it should be at the point you stopped,

I just tried this and it works.

I haven't mucked around with the 'save as; command, but as mentioned saving isn't required.

RE: BUGS?
David is correct. I tested the engine many times and saves are automatic. No ability to save manually as it always saves.

The Visual OOB only shows example (typical) formations.

Wiggum's right. We would have had a document over 1,000 pages and a broken Mike Avanzini if we had included every formation!!!

David, I can confirm there is a problem here. It used to save and restore to the same point, I believe. But when I was doing this yesterday I am guessing that I didn't actually quit out of the campaign engine interface and it managed to re-open at the point I closed it at. If I shut down the campaign interface completely, it is bringing me back to the start of the current turn, rather than saving.

Good catch phoenix, sorry about the problem.

RE: BUGS?
Now I am running tests with a fresh campaign, just playing both sides myself, and it is saving each time I quit. I will have to get with David separately and see what we can figure out.

That's what I saw too. I'll have a muck around.
