RE: Wiggum's "Battles of Normandy" Artwork Mod
Just uploaded "Wiggum's "Battles of Normandy" Artwork Mod v1.3"
See first post for the download link !
Could someone please add this thread to the "Important Threads" ?
Would be sad if it would drown in new threads in a few weeks...

RE: Wiggum's "Battles of Normandy" Artwork Mod
Excellent stuff, Wiggum. Many thanks for all the time and effort put into this. It's a great mod, providing a great alternative to Strela's small terrain mod. Agreed someone (in control) should sticky it, I think. We have two really excellent, more naturalistic graphics alternatives to the stock artwork now, and all done very quickly. Fantastic. I will try yours in Kursk too. I think the new subtle edges are certainly more natural.

Thanks.
I dont think that fits well because my mod changes much more then just terrain.
Maybe a general Mod sticky would be a idea which links to my mod and that of Strela.

Just my opinion here, but I think you should get rid of the colored areas around the units and use the cool background/ counter colors.
Kinda like the Kursk PanzerBlitz mod.

What colored areas do you mean, the grey/brown/olive "uniform like" area or the colored section in the center of the counters ?
I like the current look and it is exactly what i tried to archive, a more gritty military look, less colorful (because the colored area is much smaller) and flashy while still being clear (because there is still a small colored area that helps to identify the units). I'm not a fan of the full color counters but you can always use the original counters together with the rest of my mod.

Yes, that area. But it's your mod and you shared it with us, so I am cool with it either way. :)

It would be a huge amount of work to remove that colored area around the units, i dont think i will ever edit them.
+ i think its nice to still have a small colored area that helps to identify the units more quickly.
@ all
Any opinions on the new optional Waffen-SS artwork ? Do you like it ?

I don't mind the camouflage look but it needs to be on a more 3D counter in my opinion. The problem with using that look is do you do it for other nationalities?
Between you and Ed, there are some nice alternative sets....
