Patches for older HPS SB games

Hello all,

I have Winter War, Red Victory, and Eagles Strike.  The patches for these games are not on John Tiller's website.

Is the best place to get the latest patches on the HPS website?  Or is there a better place?

I downloaded the Eagles Strike patch from HPS, and Norton kept removing it due to a WS.Recognition.1 error.

Is it safe to get the patches from HPS?

I do see that SB: Modern Warfare has the latest patch on John Tiller's site, and I plan to get that game next.

Thanks for any help.  I'm getting back into my JT games after a couple year hiatus, and look forward to some fun Squad Battles matches with youse guys.

Most older released games are available from both HPS and JTS.

Any "newer" John Tiller game released after 12/10, will be only found on the JTS website as a digital download; no CD version.

Updates found on the HPS website are only for HPS version games.

Updates found on the JTS website are only for JTS version games.

The updates can not be mixed or matched or they will mess up you game install.

JTS handles all support for the John Tiller HPS games and for all JTS games.

I would highly suggest purchasing the JTS versions instead of the HPS versions since updates are created and released alot quicker for the JTS versions than the HPS version updates.

Also, don't get excited about only finding updates for a title, for only one game version.  Many of the games that were originally released from HPS have had several updates through the years. 

Many of the JTS digital downloads versions of the same games have not had any new updates released since the game was made available as a digital download.  The JTS game version you download should be automatically updated with the most current update available automatically.  If not, then you may see a JTS version update found on the JTS website.

Thank you. Yeah, I have HPS versions of all three of my SB games.

So, you think it's worth purchasing the JTS versions of them? I would really prefer supporting JTS than HPS anyway.

But, is it worth it to spend another $40 on each SB game to upgrade to the JTS versions? Or, are my HPS versions fine as long as I can get the latest patch installed correctly?

Unless you become the next Power Ball winner, I'd suggest you stick with the versions you have.

Ok. I found the following updates for the HPS versions of my games, as follows:

Red Victory - 1.01
Eagles Strike - 1.04a
Winter War - 1.01

Could someone please tell me if these are the latest versions of each?
