LOS wrecks/smoke?
Hi All,

I came across this earlier ..... The Grenadiers Churchills (red arrow) are trying to fire on the artillery 2 hexs to the east but the message "Line-of-sight is blocked by smoke at (105,20)" as indicated at the bottom of the screen shot.

The 102,20 hex (Black circled) contains 12 wrecks and scattered terrain but no smoke - even with FOW off.

Is the smoke coming from the wrecks? ... or is this just a LOS blockage because of the intervening scattered terrain and the wrecks?

Also .... do wrecks cause a blockage to movement? or an increase in movement point cost to traverse the hex?

I can't find any reference to them anywhere in the rules - any insight anybody?

Thanks

Chris

RE: LOS wrecks/smoke?
Hey Chris, from PzB Normandy User manual:

On page 4 under "Differences with Panzer Campaigns".

--Wrecks. Visibility is blocked when more than 7 per hex

RE: LOS wrecks/smoke?
Hi,

Thanks again CR ! ..... I'd missed that one ... I think that goes under "When in doubt - read the instructions - thoroughly !"

There are lots of little nuggets hidden away in the manual LOL

Cheers

Chris
