Wikings and Mountains
Hey Guys:
I just revised and updated a nice little scenario for anyone interested.
My thanks to Tony for all his help and valuable insight.
As well as von Tirpitz, dawags, Keith, Thad, et. al.
It's been tested and revised, so it's battle ready.
"Wikings in the Carpathians 1945 VER 2.0" available in the scenario database.
If you like armor fights, this one opens up a few possibilities to exploit.
Regards,
Dan

RE: Wikings and Mountains
Enjoy!
You will use the new wreck clearing units to keep those mountain passes clear.
Armor burns nicely at altitude...;O)

RE: Wikings and Mountains
The best part may be the spots. I used a rather steep elevation delta and this opens up a lot of nice spots deep on both sides. Normally in woods/mountains like this you don't spot much past the hex in front of you but this one plays very differently with a multitude of deep spots/deep shots.
A key to this one is the heavy tanks can only be used down the middle of the map.
The edges, where it's dirt roads, belong to the medium and light tanks only.
Medium bridges don't allow the heavies up into the high mountain passes.
Don't worry, they seem to find plenty to fight over right down the middle...
Regards,
Dan
