Bought this sale item for the WW1 mod, it's a GEM, and upgraded to latest beta patch, it cost less than 2 quid.
It works well on Windows 10, however I cannot exit the game, no button is visible and I have not discovered a shortcut key, have to resort to using task manager to shut it down.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Wait, I found on the web that Alt and Tab keys held down together minimize the game window, then left-click X to exit and close game.
Update, I also bought HOI III collection for a few quid and discovered a WW1 mod, slight problem gett'in it up and running but it's looking really good, very simple fix. This is a more modern version and works with windows 10.
The game's internal kill switch is through the menu icon in the top right. Selecting surrender will dump you to the front-end where you can exit the game.

Thanks for the response, I thought selecting the surrender option would end the game prematurely along with the loss of the save game file.
So, save game, then click surrender.
OK, I have also installed the black ice mod V10.1 for HOI III, looks like Darkest Hour has been relegated already.
