That scenario is one of the most biased in the entire series. Unless it's been rebalanced in the Gold version, the Soviet has no chance.

I'm game for either scenarios, but obviously the one you showed me looks good. If interested take your turn and send it to me while letting me know which scenario you choose.

Sorry mate, I wish I had the time. The modified scenario I linked you to is one of my very favourites. I am playing a S41 CG and a MG44 CG at the moment so I just can't fit it in. Next time I get a slot I will drop you a line.

I believe the Alt version include with Gold was completely reworked by Ed. He was aware of the bias and it was adjusted accordingly. All the details are in the Gold build in the word document titled; Kursk43 Alternate Campaign changes

I don't think there have been any new balance changes made to the Gold version of K43 CG's. Please show me where and how if I am mistaken.

Also I don't use VM's mods. I prefer stock.

That's what I'm saying the VM mod is included in Gold (they are the Alt versions of the scenarios) and Ed had taken into account some of the imbalances.

And yes, your right, we didn't adjust any of the stock scenarios.

Ok to clear it up then. My comments were in relation to the stock WTTF. Since the OP did not specify I assumed he was using the stock scenario.

I can't comment on VM's scenario's as I don't use them.

However for anyone contemplating a stock game of WTTF I strongly recommend my modified version, link above, my version is much more balanced than the stock version.

I would say, unless the VM version has increased the size of the map (like I did) then his version would face some of the same issues. One of which is that it is very easy for the German to push the Soviet right off the map. Especially the south east map edge.

It is a great scenario as it allows you to play the most interesting and fluid part of the overall battle.
